Slowdowwwn was born from a truth we can’t ignore: the mental health crisis in this country hits hardest in marginalized communities, especially those living below the national income average. And it’s not about a lack of effort or grit—it’s about systems that consistently place profit over people, and performance over humanity.

To create a space of real belonging, we can’t afford to neglect our neighbors. That’s why our business model is built for accountability, not just aspiration.

We’re curating a community advisory board, implementing a revenue share model with anyone who joins our monthly Slowdowwwn Membership subscription, and we’re actively working toward B-Corp certification, aligning our values with the long-term health and sustainability of the people we serve.

How does it work
Tamice locks in their Pre-Launch Early-Bird Membership by paying the first 3 months upfront ($90).

If all goes to plan and we open in December, they get three full months of unlimited coffee/tea, curated perks, and a cozy space to land—no extra payments until April 2026.

  • We’re planning to launch between Winter 2025 and Early Spring 2026. As a waitlist pre-launch subscription member, you’ll receive updates along the way and be invited to our soft-launch to the space before we open to the public.

  • Once you’ve secured your spot, you’ll receive a confirmation email with details on next steps. As we approach launch, you’ll get exclusive updates about membership activation and Slowdowwwn’s progress .

  • No, deposits are non-refundable, as they serve as an early commitment to Slowdowwwn and help fund the space.

  • Yes! You can cancel at any time after your initial three-month commitment.
    Your upfront payment covers your first three months, and after that, you’ll be billed monthly. If you choose to cancel:

    • Before the first three months are up: you’ll still have access for the full period you already paid for, but you won’t be billed for the fourth month.

    • After your first three months: you can cancel anytime before your next billing date, and your membership will remain active through the end of that billing cycle.

    • Note: There are no partial refunds for mid-month cancellations.

    And for our founding members: your $30/month rate stays locked in for life—as long as you stay subscribed without interruption.

  • If you’re one of the first 50 members, your rate stays locked at $30/month for life as long as you remain a member. If you sign up later, your rate will start at $50/month and will not increase unless otherwise communicated.

  • If you’re not in the first 50, you can still join at the $50/month tier, which starts with a $150 deposit covering your first three months. This membership gives you all the same perks, just at the standard rate.

  • Everyone shapes Slowdowwwn—whether you’re a member, a partner, or someone who simply shows up.

    As a Non-Member:
    You shape this space just by being here. Every conversation, quiet moment, and shared glance adds to the soul of this place.

    As a Member:
    You’ll get access to:

    • Voting on how we use the Slowdowwwn Fund (for space upgrades, community support, creative stipends, etc.)

    • Early input on events and programming

    • Invitations to member-only gatherings that help guide how we grow
